Hello, I have just started constructing my vertical queen bed. I was wondering if the kick plate at the bottom is affected by 1/2" moulding for faux doors at the bottom or if it will clear without issue when opening? I will be adding the molding to the face so it will not be flush with side panel edges.

is there a way to convert your vertical king size diy bed to a horizontal king size murphy bed?

This is virtually impossible to make. I put the cabinet together first so now I'm going to have to destroy everything AGAIN. It will be the third time I attempt to make this thing and it is becoming apparent that unless you are a world renowned professional carpenter, you have no hope of putting this thing together. It is so unbelievably difficult because everything has to be just so and if you make ANY mistake you have to destroy all of your progress, throw away all of your plywood and start all the way over from the beginning. It is almost impressive that they were able to come up with something so completely nearly impossible to do and so fraught with things that will require you to start over from the start that you are almost guaranteed to not be aware of. If you decide to try this, I hope you are perfect and never make mistakes but ANY mistake will require that you destroy everything and start over from square one. That is the nature of this project. I unfortunately decided to put the cabinet together so now the bottom of the bed can't go on so I have to start all the away over.

In the plan for the King/vertical there is no 3/4 gap between the plate and the edge of the frame board.

I'm struggling to get through these videos. The content is excellent, but I need to hear the words being spoken, which means I have to listen to that awful muzzak that serves no purpose but to irritate the viewer.

Note... instructions state to make 5/8" hole for the nut on the bracket. Didn't catch that until rewatching this video on how to insert it.

Make sure you don't put screws within 2" of the end of part Ge or it will interfere with attaching part Gd

You mention desk length, but what about depth? Can I set up a desktop pcs monitor on one of these and leave it there when the bed is out?

The problem is not the wall bed. It's the width of the desk that can't be wider than 18 inches. Translation? This desk bed is a failed project. Let me know if you can come up with a desk bed with at least 3 feet wide desk mountable.
